The Evening Standard featured Searcys restaurant at the top of the Gherkin

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

May 16th 2008 - The Evening Standard featured Searcy’s restaurant at the top of the Gherkin, 30 St Mary Axe, as their colour centre page spread.
What fantastic coverage for all involved (including CMG, as both Sarah and Helen are included in the shot!). A superb example of what we can achieve for our clients.

The Run!

The CMG Runners took on the challenge of a 3 mile run for Sport Relief on the 16 March. The team turned out in fine form especially as the weather was both wet and windy. All finished in excellent times and raised a fantastic £2000. Watch this space for the next run, maybe a 10k!

Rebatos, Tapas Heaven

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Behind the dark well stickered door, there lies a tapas heaven - authenticly Spanish waiters and delicious varied seasonal food and drink. There is a formal restaurant at the back, but for me the best atmosphere is at the front, around the bar or at the little tables. Many a delicious meal was had.

Address: 169 South Lambeth Road, Stockwell, London, SW8 1XW
Tel: 020 7735 6388
Booking not essential :)

Reaction to the Real Food Festival 2008

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Complete Media Group launched the Real Food Festival on 24th - 27th April 2008. Here is a selection of reactions to the successful event.

“The Real Food Festival was every bit as diverse and exciting as I had hoped. At long last, we have a national stage for the small producer, more concerned with flavour and sustainability than bagging a quick buck. It showed that British artisan producers –as well as those from around Europe – are thriving and there is a proper market for real, slow food. This is good news not just for these farmers and producers but for our taste buds and bellies too.”

What can we learn about running agencies from the top Premiership Managers?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

I believe top Premiership managers are sometimes unfairly criticised for the way/style they develop their team’s success - some concentrate on “flair and attack” (and within budget) like Arsene Wenger, some “win ugly and at all costs” like Avram Grant or, a la Alex Ferguson, some combine the two with a regular influx of world class players, strength in depth and a lot of luck (you can tell I’m a gooner!)?.

Is Boris towing the line?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

One of Boris’s first acts in his new role of the Mayor of London is to pull The Londoner, the newspaper for the Mayor, in favour of online communications. Very interesting stuff…does that mean Boris will be taking up column inches in the national newspapers instead!
