Irish Chef Richard Corrigan appeared on the BBC’s popular weekend programme, Saturday Kitchen, to the delight of both presenters and guests!

Richard Corrigan cooked a Salad of Suckling Pig and Oysters wowing Survivors star Max Beesley with his culinary talent.

Hot on the heels of his award for AA London Restaurant of the year, the legendary Irish chef patron Richard Corrigan last night celebrated a double win at the National Restaurant of the Year Awards, held at the Hurlingham Club, west London. Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill, his iconic seafood restaurant in Piccadilly, reached number 55 on the list, which is voted for by chefs, restaurateurs and critics. Richard’s newest venture, Corrigan’s Mayfair, which launched last November to critical and public acclaim, reached number five, and was also the highest new entry.

Written by respected journalist and author, Rose Prince, this piece features a candid interview with Richard about his childhood in rural Ireland (“The kids in school called me Bog Man”), and his two newest ventures, Corrigan’s Restaurant in Mayfair and Bentley’s Dublin. There are also three classic, tempting recipes: Bentley’s Soda Bread, Proper Shellfish Cocktail and Lamb’s Liver with Red Onions, Sage and Champ, and a small list of stockists for great Irish ingredients.
